Hello,

When I install the rtnet, I have to remove normal network modules (8139too, mii … ) from the system.

Once starting the rtnet and making only dedicated rtnet network, I can not connect outer network.

I wonder how the rtnet support normal TCP and UDP protocol with rtnet UDP protocol.

RTnet is able to tunnel all non-real-time protocols like TCP/IP through the dedicated real-time network using the virtual Linux network adapters (e.g rteth0 => vnic0). See also the readme files.

To interconnect this virtual network over RTnet to the outer world, you need one RTnet station acting as a gateway, thus having additionally a second ethernet, modem, WLAN, etc. adapter managed by standard Linux. You can then route the TCP/IP traffic between the vnic and the internet adapter.
