After the installation of the latest RTnet with RTAI3.0r4 - linux2.4.25,
I shutdown the etho and remove the tulip driver modules and follow the readme to load the rtai and rtnet modules, then rtnet start.
however, when i do rtping, an ioctl error cames out as "no route" etc. I checked by ifconfig there is only lo interface and rtroute shows nothing.
Can anybody help to explain a little bit what the problem and the solution is?
If rtifconfig only show the loopback device, the Ethernet adapter is not yet loaded or working correctly. Check the module list (lsmod), the kernel output (dmesg or /var/log/messages) and the output rtifconfig gives you when manually configuring rteth0. But most likely, there is some issue when the tulip-rt driver loads.
Does the RTNET/driver support RT features + normal linux networking ie.
