Who knows how to setup a loopback test when there is only one computer with only one network interface?
... insmod rtnet.o insmod loopback-rt.o rtifconfig rtlo up 127.0.0.1 <run some example like examples/frag_ip>
You may also use RTnet with a normal network to test if the adapter driver is working. In this case, load the respective driver, configure the interface with rtifconfig appropriately, solicit the destination route ("rtroute solicit <dest_ip> dev rteth0"), and test it with rtping. There are also some pure Linux versions of the examples available to run them on a non-RTnet box.
