Hi Jan,
where i work thinking to try RTNet,but we need to use some hardware to make remote i/o, i'm thinking something like this:
http://www.barix.com/index_en.php?http://www.barix.com/en/products/barionet.php
do u think is possible?
Depends on if you (or the vendor) can teach basic RTnet (RTmac/TDMA and RTcfg) to the included network stack. Likely possible if you have deep insight into the firmware. Problably, it wouldn't be much more complicated than the EtherBoot "hack" released this weekend. The only difference: EtherBoot already comes as GPL software...
Anyway, if this works, it would be a really great gadget! So, in case anyone is willing to work on this, the RTnet team would be happy to support this effort.
Jan
