Hi

I have network adaptor that uses a Intel 82559ER chipset, its standard Linux driver is e100. Is eepro100 compatible for this chipset ?

Should cause no problems. The e100 is the official Intel driver for this chipset series, while the eepro100 was developed by the community. I once even had a driver/chipset version combination which worked with the eepro100 but not with the e100.
