Ciao,

this is to inform you that Michael Neuhauser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> will be the maintainer of the ARM branch of rtai-3.2 (magma).

He has grown at least one tree of the ARM forest, manured on ADEOS and the unified schedeling scheme, achieving the first public non x86 port of the LXRT scheme within RTAI (plain, classic or whatever name you want to use for this RTAI dev thread). His help in making the scheduler layout arch independent is already acknowledge in the magma change log.

I hope that as soon as he has made it working in magma somebody can help with tests and feedback.

In relation to ARM some work is going on for a port to ADEOS and 2.6.7 for PXA here at DIAPM.

There are hope of having PPC back in shape sooner or later, for kernel space at least, but having user space work on ARM should make it simpler user space for PPC also.

Paolo.

Great news!

The RTnet team is in stand-by to utilise this ARM support for our project, too. We are furthermore expecting some ARM-related RTnet patches from another port done for a commercial project.

If some ARM user is interested in helping us then with testing (RTAI may benefit from this as well as fusion already did), she/he will be welcome! Just let us know.

Jan
