I know, I know. But the existing code-base at the start of the project
(i.e. bringing RTAI (user+kernel-space) to EP9301) was completely 2.4
based:
      * the Linux patch supplied by the CPU/board manufacturer
      * Adeos for ARM (2.4.19-rmk7-pxa2 to be specific)
      * all old RTHAL patches for ARM
