Im getting a compiler error when building RTNet 0.8.2 (see
<error_description> below). I was able to compile the source by
disabling sections of tulip_core.c enclosed by:
#ifdef CONFIG_TULIP_MWI
#endif
But I'm not sure what the result of that would be.
Thanks for reporting, it's fixed in the SVN now (I also disabled it).
According to the original driver even in the latest kernel, this feature
is still experimental. It may improve the PCI performance of the tulip
card, but I don't know if the result is worth risking problems.
Anyone else having this problem?
Does anyone know if the above solution will cause problems down the
line?
Cheers,
Hawkeye
BTW, you are using rather strange kernel and rtai versions. RTnet was
never tested with kernels before 2.6.8.1. And is there any reason for
picking such an old rtai test(!) version? You should not be surprised
about further issues during runtime.
