Hi, after I installed the RTAI3.0r4 and rtnet 0.7.1, except the SMI problem
with RTAI, RTAI runs ok. I then tried to start the standalone RTNET,
first, However, after the RTNET started, I can rtping (rteth0 and gateway
successful)
after a few seconds, it hangs.
Retried several times step by step, after insmod eepro100-rt, system runs ok,
whenever I bring rteth0 up with an ip, it hangs.
I have laptop IBP thinkpad R32 1.8G.
What should I do to fix this?
Are you using rtai_lxrt or rtai_up/ksched as scheduler? If it's lxrt,
please try the same with rtai_up. If it still hangs, we have to go into
details on the RTnet side - after updating RTnet to a more recent
version. If it doesn't, you should upgrade your RTAI version (3.2 or
better) because you likely hit a bug there. I once had the same effect
with an ancient RTAI 3.1 under lxrt.
