Hi,
Can you please let me know about rtos_timer_start().
My requirement is this... I have a kernel module which can send packets
periodically on the RT network. But I want this module to start sending
packets only at a certain time (for ex: start sending periodically from
10:00 AM) but not as soon as i load it into kernel.
How do i accomplish this task in rtnet. Can I use the rtos_timer oneshot
mode for this ? Or should i use the traditional 'alarm' in linux.
I really hope there should be an API for rtnet functions.I dont know
where to look for certain function definitions and data structures
specific to rtnet which were used in the examples.
As Klaus already said, the rtos_xxx API should be RTnet internal only.
We are using it in kernel examples as well port them automatically
between RTAI/classic 24-1.x, 3.x, and RTAI/fusion.
This is indeed confusing, and I'm not very happy with the current
situation. During the ongoing internal restructuring I hope we'll find
the time to address this issue as well. We definitely need
per-RTAI-version examples (e.g. fusion-examples/, rtai3-examples/). And
we need most of them now in userspace...
