I'm trying to send a broadcast message over RTnet. This email from
(http://www.mail-archive.com/rtnet-users@lists.sourceforge.net/msg00312.html)
from Oct 2004 says, that you only have to create a package with a
broadcast destination adress. But RTnet only says: "RTnet: host
255.255.255.255 unreachable" or "RTnet: host 127.0.0.255 unreachable".
What does rtroute tell you about available destination IPs on your
system? Note that every IP you want to send a message to has to be
covered by some route in RTnet, i.e. either by a host or a net route.

Thank you, that solves my problem!

I've entered something like
"rtroute add 255.255.255.255 ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff dev rtlo"
and afterwards I was able to send my test-broadcast package.

Thanks Kai
