Hi,

there is now support for the upcoming Xenomai 2.1 version available in
the SVN repository. In case you haven't heard about that development:
the new Xenomai build system links its kernel part into the provided
(and Adeos-patched) kernel source tree. Thus, configuring and building
the Xenomai kernel support takes place *inside* that kernel tree. On the
other hand, all userspace libraries are build independently from the
Xenomai source tree.

For RTnet as a user of the kernel interfaces (RTDM), we basically need
to know of the location of the RT-extended kernel. Only if we build the
examples, we must also know where the header and userspace libs are - by
means of the xeno-config tool.

To differentiate clearly between both building models, the user has to
select if (s)he is using RTAI/Xenomai 2.0.x or Xenomai 2.1 and later.
Then only the required paths are requested: RTAI/Xenomai installation
path for the classic model and the RT-extended kernel path for the new
one. Only if the user decides the build some examples too, the config
tool path is requested as well.

Check out and give it a try!

Jan
