Sounds like there is still a bit misconception persisting: The packets captured (and timestamped!) by RTcap will pop up as normal frames on that pseudo NICs under Linux. So you are free to a) use standard capturing tools b) develop against libpcap c) attach directly to that pseudo NIC under Linux Otherwise, please explain what kind of special feature you want to have that is not available through the interfaces listed above.
