Hello, This is my second message, I think my last didn't get through the sourceforge servers.
We are trying to build a real-time ethernet on two computers with: * Debian, with a 2.6.15 kernel * RTAI 3.3-cv (vulcano is not compatible with our project) * KDE3 * A RTL8139D network card, while we also have a * e1000 card installed, which we want to use for a not real-time network Our network has more computers which are not working with RTnet. I guess this is where we get the unknown layer-3 protocol messages from. We get those on both master and slave. When we start the master and slave, in any order, while running KDE (a graphical environment is also required for our project) the master computer will freeze as soon as we run ./rtnet start, or within minutes after that. Result is a completely non-responding computer, which needs to be reset. On a sunny day we are able to run the simple server and client programs, which then both work. When running without KDE, in shell, we have hardly any problems, although the computer did freeze a couple out of about 15 times. The client keeps running and has no problems what so ever. The conf files seem to be configured fine (should I post them?). Of course we have tried both master and slave on both computers, and it is always the master that crashes. Any ideas?
