Hi All,

does any one have some "rule of thumb estimate" of performance metrics
for RTnet? I'm not looking for anything formal or bench-marked
necessarily but something along the lines of "I'm running 2 realtime
tasks with looptime of 1ms on separate realtime x86 machines
transferring an array of 500 doubles (8bytes) in each direction over a
100Mbps network" as an example. This should theoretically be possible
from the hardware standpoint but I'm not sure if it is realistic in
practice. I'm trying to get a sense of how fast can I have separate
tasks running and how much data can I pass between them. I realize
there are a lot of variables that can affect this which is why I said
"rule of thumb estimate" rather than "strict".

Thanks as always for any info,
Jesse
