Thanks for the quick response. I found the following define in
drivers/e1000/e1000_hw.h

#define E1000_DEV_ID_82546GB_QUAD_COPPER 0x1099

and the ethernet in question is

> Intel PRO/1000 GT Quad Port Server Adapter
> Model No: PWLA8494GT
> Controller-Processor: Intel 82546GB

Does this mean that the card is supported by RTnet ?
