Vvan, some people seem to be able to learn Rails fast ; perhaps they have an extensive experience in web development, and they just adapt Rails to their skills; then, slowly they begin to discover Ruby. It is one path.
For the others (including me), it means hard work; especially if you want to at least scratch the surface. If you belong to the second category, don't try to go too fast; take your time to understand things; whether you "finish" the Rails course in this session or in the next is irrelevant. If you work hard, the payoff will come (and it may be beautiful).
