This bug is related to Rubygems. Ryan introduced Hoe to Rubygems, which broke the CI build by adding unspecified dependencies. I let him know, and he ignored it. So, I fixed it mysqlf by adding automated dependency installation. You reverted that (working) change, and replaced it with a call to Hoe's dependency installation mechanism (which did NOT work). I submitted this patch to Hoe which made it work. Ryan rejected the patch, asking for more info. I replied and reopened with more information. He rejected again with a cryptic message, and no indication if it was actually was or would be fixed. I asked him to clarify, or if I could help, and he has continued to ignore it. I've since worked around it, but the root problem remains unaddressed. This illustrates the often rude and dictatorial tone (and now, immature and persistent sexual references) on this list, and refusal to respond to valid technical criticism of questionable code and policies. Perhaps others tolerate this sort of behavior on a public development list, but I'd rather not. I believe ignoring it encourages more of the same, so I will keep pointing it out. Again, I have the utmost respect for your incredible and critical contributions to this project, but there's more to an open source project than code.
