the 2.0 release is still a way off, however a 1.2.4 stable release
could be made soon.  We have backported a number of those fixes to the
1-2-stable branch, however not all of them have made it across.

There's not a large amount of functionality left to implement.
Hopefully we'll be able to publish a 'todo' list of sorts in the
coming weeks, outlining the functionality that we think is still
missing from edge rails.  Then based on that, and community feedback,
we should have a better feel for the arrival of 2.0.

The best way to help 2.0 come sooner, is to try your current
applications with Edge rails, and let us know if what breaks.
