Now that Rails 2.3 has been released, I'd like to ask the list to take a look over my proposal (http://rails.lighthouseapp.com/projects/8994/tickets/2228-activerecordbasesaved ) to add an ActiveRecord::Base#saved_record? method.
It is an extremely simple patch, which is just the opposite of new_record? It is along the same lines as the invalid? method. It adds a more readable method for the opposite functionality.
