    Deploying Rails coping and pasting folders is the way to insanity.

    You should take a look at Capistrano (http://capify.org), also I
would recommend reading:

    Deploying Rails Applications: A Step-by-Step Guide
    by Ezra Zygmuntowicz, Bruce Tate, and Clinton Begin

    I have never read it, It was published after my head went white
with deployments, but Ezra's blog was the light at the end of tunnel
regarding Rails deployment and scaling for me.

   Anyway check the log/ folder, (development or production) and feel
free to post here the Exceptions you find.
