I think this is one of those times where it would be best to fix the problem on your end and make sure the table tags are closed. Let the people on your team know that unclosed table tags lead to broken scriptaculous widgets and strongly encourage them to generate valid XHTML. Give them links to online HTML validators ( http://validator.w3.org/ ) and tell them it's the right thing to do.
