Hi Thomas, Thanks for your response, but I am not calling any effects.
Actually, i think I just found the problem. The scriptaculous script tag needs to come after the prototype tag. Since Rails dev reloads the JS's each page, it couldn't ever find prototype when it needed it in the scriptaculous code.
