OK, what exact browser are you using?

Hmm, obviously Function extension didn't occur yet.  That's odd.

Can you please put some minimalistic example online for us to test and
tinker with?

I bet it does :-)  It's clearly an issue with load detection within a
popup.  However, I see nothing related in Prototype's Trac.  So we'll
have to investigate.
