Except that the changes causing this break aren't easily viewable unless you go digging through the subversion repo for prototype release notes... not quite ideal.
Unless I'm missing something, I'd think a little bit more of a warning should be given to people when a new release is available that isn't 100% backward compatible with previous versions.
