I found some strange thing in Ajax.Request (onStateChange function):

    var readyState = this.transport.readyState;
    if (readyState > 1 && !((readyState == 4) && this._complete))
     this.respondToReadyState(this.transport.readyState);

In Opera [this._complete] always true, but I cannot understand how.
I fixed this problem this way:
if (Prototype.Browser.Opera) {
      if (readyState > 1)
        this.respondToReadyState(this.transport.readyState);
} else {
      if (readyState > 1 && !((readyState == 4) && this._complete))
        this.respondToReadyState(this.transport.readyState);
    }
