Bleh.  I'm pretty sure it's an unavoidable browser issue (even though  
it occurs in multiple browsers).  I don't know of any way to fix it.   
Looks like the browser forces an iframe refresh when the iframe re- 
attaches to the DOM. Perhaps someone smarter than me has a fix, but I  
wouldn't be optimistic.
