Probably because it's not expecting you to give it something all in  
caps. I'd guess it's doing pluralize then camelize:

"EVENTLOG".pluralize #=> "EVENTLOGs"
and then it's just confused.
"EVENTLOGs".underscore => "eventlo_gs"
