Thanks Fred. Here is what I did after reading the link that you posted:
I created the config/initializers/load_lib_dir.rb with the following
line of code:
Dir.glob( "#{ RAILS_ROOT }/lib/*.rb" ).each { |f| require f } <-- thanks
