BTW -- while I've been using Ruby and Rails for about 2 years now (on top of using other languages for almost 10 years), much of that has been straight Ruby stuff, and the essentials for non-Ajax Rails apps. I'm understanding quite a bit of Rails now, but JavaScript and Ajax are areas I've never spent much time studying.
