Yes - it's installed:
already installed: acts_as_ferret (svn://projects.jkraemer.net/
acts_as_ferret/tags/stable/acts_as_ferret).  pass --force to reinstall

When I tried to start it:
script/ferret_server -e production start

the server returned: -bash: script/ferret_server: Permission denied
