The tools are not hard to use in terms of setting up an instance, but IMHO it sucks that they don't have a console interface yet. Still, rds is a good offering and you can connect to it with your local gui front end, I'm told. Frankly, I haven't been able to get that working yet but it's probably just a time-availability problem on my part.
