A leading streaming video company seeks a Ruby on Rails Software Engineer who will be tasked with working on the backend of our TV Everywhere offering. Candidates should be able to provide technical expertise and logically thought out solutions to complex web applications that utilize many moving pieces.
This individual must be a self starter and task oriented. This opportunity requires development of best practices through experience and research. Qualified candidates will have the following technical skill set: • 2-3 years experience with Ruby on Rails • Experience working on web applications • Familiarity with AJAX • Experience writing Web Services (REST based) Good programming skills, including ability to write reusable, maintainable code and good software documentation. • Has experience writing different kinds of tests (Unit, Integration, etc.) Length of contract would be 4-6 months.
