Have a big project coming up in the very near future (30-60 days) for a top-level domain. It's in the travel industry (hint: Traveler.com). In any case, we are looking into the possibility of using RoR instead of PHP (what I am used to). As I have never worked with RoR, I need some opinions on what are the good and bad features of the two according to you - the programmer.
If you can convince me of the reasons to use Ruby over PHP in a web- application environment, maybe I can change my mind. In that case, I will need to find the right crew to build this project (and it's not small).
