Anything that is mass mailing can be done with campaign monitor or
mailchimp, you were asking for e-mail marketing services and neither
of those two are limited to newsletters. They basically provide
services where you want to send out lots of mails and have a way of
tracking them and getting stats.
If you just want to send out confirmation mails, what's wrong with
using the local mailserver?
