Actually, PHP looks more like Perl than Java. But why bother with it when Ruby is so much of a better designed language? (For the record, I don't really share the distaste of many on this list for PHP. Yeah, there's a lot of bad PHP code out there, but you can use the language well if you know how. I stick with Ruby because Ruby's so *good*, not because PHP's particularly *bad*.)
