They were not meant to be rude. I was merely trying to figure out why you would expect an apparently nonexistent method to work. I didn't know that APIdock had that "helpful" (?) feature of displaying methods that don't actually exist... BTW, I recommend http://www.railsbrain.com for Rails docs.
