It should happen almost automatically. Make sure:

Model:

  has_attached_file :attachment


View -- make sure multipart:

   <%= form_for(@attachment, :html => { :multipart => true }) do |f| %>


Controller -- should be business as usual --

    @attachment = Attachment.new(params[:billing_run])
