Online language learning start-up with tremendous upside potential. We're looking for seasoned technologists to help us build out the website and related apps. While our preference is to hire people as employees of the company (cash and equity compensation available), we will consider firms or freelancers. The positions we are looking to fill include: (i) product manager/CTO who can oversee the project (this person can be a consultant or work for a firm that contracts for the project); (ii) designer(s) to create the look and feel of the website and apps; and (iii) developer(s) who can handle all facets of website and app development, including: (a) HTML/Javascript/jQuery front-end coding, (b) middle-tier web framework (Ruby), and (c) database implementation (MS SQL Server or MySQL). I live in San Diego and my partner is in New York, but we are open to candidates who reside anywhere in the U.S.
