Yes my production env is on Debian Lenny with Passenger. As I said the question is about my dev environment. Also ruby is supposed to be cross-platform, but every time I ask a question about windows, somebody suggests I switch to Linux. Suppose you went to Chipotle and asked for a burrito, but every time you do somebody would suggest you switch to frozen yogurt cause it's healthier. It would be pretty tiresome, even if they were right, wouldn't it be?
I can't switch to a linux vm. For multiple reasons. If I could I wouldn't be asking. I use macbook at home, but at work I HAVE TO use windows at work for multiple other reasons. Running Dev in a debian VM ( like through VirtualBox) is also a bit annoying. And I have to interact with legacy windows apps in windows environment. Plus the error is happening even if I push my app to staging ( on Debian Lenny as well). It somehow has something to do with Internet Explorer 6 and pie.htc file.
