Most people (programmers) I know also hate java applications, why is that?
(not that I don't agree, I'd just like to hear your opinion)

Also are all IDEs written in Java?

And with TextMate, for example, how do I make my HTML code show a page so I
can see how it is going, so I can test it?
And can I debug with TextMate? I mean, does it show compile time errors?
