Hello all, I'm new to ruby on rails, been dealign with LAMP my entire carrier and have decided to take the dive and learn ruby. To start this off I decided I wanted to install ruby on my Window 7 PC at home with WAMP and learn from there. So I followed this tutorial:
http://stmogilny.wordpress.com/2008/11/24/setting-up-ruby-on-rails-with-wamp/ When it gets down into the part of loading the fastcgi module Apache won't start for me here. I'm baffled as running the SO or the DLL I get the same error in my system logs: The Apache service named reported the following error: >>> httpd.exe: Syntax error on line 128 of >>> C:/wamp/bin/apache/Apache2.2.17/conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load >>> C:/wamp/bin/apache/Apache2.2.17/fastcgi/mod_fastcgi-2.4.6-AP22.dll into >>> server: The Apache service named is not a valid Win32 application. . Can anyone advise? I'm window 7 64 bit. Running the Apache 2.2.17, Ruby 1.9.2, RubyGem 1.8.7 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group.
