Zero cost (other than a little time to download) and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches. Generally, if I see a posting asking for help and it mentions Windows I ignore it, because I won't be able to recreate the problem. OTOH, I'm on a Mac with Linux VMs available, so it's easy to test a problem scenario.
