The link that Craig gave explained the solution: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4516097/how-can-i-vendorize-rails-3 It was enough to add `:path => ` to Gemfile: gem 'rails', '~>3.1.0', :path => "path/to/my/clone/of/rails" (i actually copied the folder with my copy of rails git repository to vendor/rails). After that my sample application started using this copy of rails instead of rails gem. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group.
