When trying to fix a bug in Rails and writing tests, i've got DEPRECATION WARNING: Calling set_table_name is deprecated. Please use `self.table_name = 'the_name'` instead from a test case. Is set_table_name really deprecated in rails 3? Googling didn't help.
It probably will be dropped in the next version, that's usually what these messages warn you about. It provides you with the new syntax to use, so you're better off using self.table_name. If it's in a plugin, you can always branch it on github, fix it and submit a pull request.
