This is a known issue with building from the command line on Windows (it is a Windows limitation on the maximum length of the command line).
If you're using IDEA you can create a "classpath JAR" that packages the classpath into a JAR and uses this to build/compile/run. We have the issue on our "to do" list (to create a maven profile that creates a "classpath JAR"; but we have not had the time at present to implement a solution.
