Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem with that proposal is that
it's the same "OS" on all other platforms too. Analogy: it would be
like calling Linux on baremetal Linux, but Linux on Xen something else
than Linux.
My current favorite is still "hw", mostly because it's short. If
nothing better pops up, I think we'll just use that, and solve the "also
works on the cloud" problem by documentation. At least "hw" doesn't
rule out that the platform might also work on less-than-bare hardware.
