Is the gcc requirement for the old rump kernel use of link sets (which 
should be fixed now), or for something specific to rumprun-posix?

Someone with FreeBSD could just run the rumprun-posix build script 
(aptly named "buildnb.sh") and copypaste any error message to this list 
or confirm that it works and passes all tests.
