Hi,

I've updated repo.rumpkernel.org/src-netbsd to NetBSD upstream. There's
a twist in this update. We no longer have any local patches in
src-netbsd for "userspace", e.g. libc / libpthread (that was already
always true for the kernel sources). The practical implication for you
is that you can now use any vintage of NetBSD sources for rumprun
without any patch merging.

The practical implication for us is that we can even more easily add
automated testing for rumprun NetBSD HEAD ... or at least Justin can --
his buildbot empire runs 500 test configurations anyway, he probably
won't mind a few more? For you, the practical implication of our
practical implication is that we'll notice any breakage with upstream
sources almost instantly, and therefore be able to keep things working
better.

The git mirror repo.rumpkernel.org/src-netbsd will stick around,
partially because cloning/updating with git is fast and partially
because git is a universal tool these days. The git mirror branches
called "foo-clean" and "foo" (e.g. s/foo/user/) will continue to exist,
as they're essentially free to maintain. However, I really hope we'll
never again be in a situation where diffs between foo-clean and foo are
non-zero.

I updated and tested everything providing rumprun, except rumprun-xen,
which I only build-tested. The userspace side for ARM might not work
out-of-the-box yet, but we'll cross that hurdle when rumprun for ARM
stabilizes.

enjoy,
   antti
