Style police raid!

In the patch readable at the pull request linked below, you can see existing 
code cuddling braces on both sides of else:

  } else {

and (in numerous + lines)

  }
  else {

I'm in favor of any style guide covering this case. The JS C++ style guide 
does. Anyone care?
